The Bizarre mundanes

Dear mom, keep on keeping on -you labor not in vain.

As I look at moments in my day and pages of this story called life, one that forever astounds me is that if motherhood. The number of times one’s name could be called, the number of mundane yet life changing acts of service performed such as wiping butts after potty time or looking and watching the ordinary as though it was the discovery of a new planet. 🌎

Motherhood is an easily overlooked work and adventure of the unimaginable coming to pass.such as last night and this morning when my daughter who has dengue fever 🤒 came to my bedside at 2 am to tell me she was itchy ( dengue fever does that)  I took the time to rub her entire body with baby powder to soothe and cool it.

It bought me a few hours as at day break she came once again saying her feet where itchy, since there was no sleep to be had, she put on a cartoon as I grabbed a stone to scrub, rub and scratch her itchy feet 👣

I smile now as I think about it , the bizarre, funny yet necessary tactics we use to nail this raising kids thing. I smile more for its the most wonderful feeling, what a delight and joy 🥹 to be the chosen ones to do the mundane yet life changing tasks.

I love 💕 being a mom to my kids. Lord thank you for giving me this one of a kind opportunity may I live to see how much more wonder it has  to explore.
